Our Christmas Adventure

Christmas bad hair day

We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas, and a happy new year!

So, Christmas on a boat was different because we didn't have a working oven to cook the chicken or turkey in, and we didn't have a real Christmas tree.  Instead of a real one, we bought a fake one, that was one ft tall,  and decorated it with Christmas balls and tiny candy canes.  Instead of a star, we took one of our favorite shells and put it on the top of the tree.  And for the turkey, we had chicken that we steamed to re-heat.  It was the best Christmas dinner in my life!

So anyway, we went to an island that was named Munyon Island and we went on a trail.  A few minutes later, we were in the middle of nowhere with these creepy, colorful, and BIG spiders.  I would say they were at least 3-5 inches long!  It was fun and creepy.  We took a palm tree leaf and gently whacked the spiders out of the way.  The trail led to a sand beach and while we were walking we saw a horseshoe crab molt.  They were all over the place!  Then we headed back to the dinghy and went home with a boat filled with joy:-)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:(

The Night Hike

"Hola" friends and families! Right now we are in Fort Pierce Florida. Yesterday we put the boat in the water and right now we are motoring on the Intra Coastal Waterway and we are going to anchor at Hutchinson Island.  A few days ago we went on a night hike looking for a scorpion and a gecko.  The cool thing about these guys is that they are nocturnal.  We found some geckos and anoles (and they are diurnal- which is like us, we sleep at night and play during the day).  We saw three geckos, one was little and two were big.  They had short fingers and toes, a fat tail, a chubby head, cat eyes, and they were very cute! Under the last piece of wood there was a Scorpion and it was amazing!!  It was red and creepy.  When you're done reading this there will be some pictures below. If you are wondering what an anole is well here is the answer: an anole is a kind of lizard that has 4 legs and a total of 20 fingers and toes like us and a tail that falls off when they get scared (Warning don't pull their tails off because it happened to me). If a predator chases them, instead of eating the anole they just eat the tail (it looks like a striped squiggling brown and tan worm). They are so cute!!!!!!

The Zoo

Lincoln Memorial, Washington, DC

Right now I am in Fort Pierce, Florida. We drove fourteen hours to get here. A few days ago we went to a zoo called The National Zoo in Washington D.C. It was awesome (not to make you jealous or anything but it was pretty cool) It has some of these animals: Sand cats, elephants, lioneses,giant millipedes, gorillas ,and more. On the way to the zoo we took a metro train and while we were waiting for our train we saw a mama deer on one side of the fence and a little fawn on the other side of the fence.  The little fawn tried to get over to the other side of the  fence but it was to high. I personally thought that was very sad because I felt that high fences are becoming a pollution to the world to the animals.  If I was a deer, and I was the little fawn and my mommy was on the other side of a fence then I would be very,very,very sad that I couldn't get to my mom.

I am so excited for our trip!!!!!

I am sorry I didn't do a blog for the last two or three days!!!!!!!!

Our stuff is all on the boat and today we are driving to give our (rented) R.V back to the owner of this awesome rental R.V !!!

We are going to have tons of time to be getting the boat in the water and getting our stuff on the boat, which we already got all of our things on the boat

I just got in from playing Frisbee with my sister(Riley) and my Daddy(Scott) while my mommy was out for a wonderful run!

Today we went through these ENORMOUS cities:

   Philadelphia PA ,Wilmington DE ,Baltimore MD ,and right now we are right outside of Washington D.C in some kind of  parking lot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!                                         

 DON'T WORRY WE WILL TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 IT WAS SAD SEEING ALL OF THOSE TREES CUT DOWN FOR ALL OF THE CITIES:(

Our Trip So Far

Right now we are in Pennsylvania at Burger King (to cook  burgers) and for internet connection. Tomorrow we will traveling through Philadelphia , Maryland , to Washington D.C. Today we drove through Massachusetts , Connecticut , New Jersey ,and New York City!!!!!

And we did origami, school work, and we looked at maps(that lead to where we are going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).It was hard to work on my work and it was also hard to focus or concentrate on the seven hour drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
